1. Who we are

NIM Engineering Talent is a specialist recruitment and talent-network service. The final data-controller identity and contact details must be inserted here before public launch.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect identity and contact details, professional experience, education, technical skills, work preferences, availability, CV information, applications, employer vacancy information and communications with us.

3. Why we use information

We use information to operate candidate profiles, administer applications, match people to relevant opportunities, communicate about recruitment, verify information where appropriate, manage employer relationships, maintain security, meet legal obligations and improve the service.

4. Lawful basis

The lawful basis depends on the activity and may include taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations and consent where consent is the appropriate basis. Special-category or criminal-offence information requires additional conditions and will not be collected routinely without a defined need.

5. Sharing

Candidate information may be shared with prospective employers or service providers where appropriate for recruitment and platform operation. NIM should use a controlled disclosure process and should not publish candidate CVs openly.

6. Retention

Personal information will be retained only for as long as there is a justified recruitment, contractual or legal need. Specific retention periods must be finalised and documented before launch.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability, and rights relating to consent and automated decision-making.

8. Automated matching

NIM may use structured criteria to rank potential relevance between profiles and vacancies. Match indicators should support, not replace, human assessment and employer decision-making.

9. Security and international transfers

NIM will use appropriate technical and organisational measures. Any international transfer arrangements and hosting locations must be documented before launch.

10. Contact and complaints

Insert the final privacy contact here. Individuals may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
